Powerball jackpot hits $800M after no one wins Wednesday’s top prize

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Powerball jackpot has rolled over again after no ticket matched all six numbers in Wednesday night’s drawing.

The estimated top prize for Saturday’s drawing is $800 million, making it the second-largest Powerball jackpot and the fifth-largest U.S. lottery jackpot in history, the lottery said in a news release early Thursday.

The winning numbers drawn Wednesday were 19, 36, 37, 46, 56 and Powerball 24, with an optional Power Play of 2x.

Update 12:55 a.m. EDT Oct. 27: No ticket matched all six numbers to win Wednesday’s $700 million Powerball jackpot, the lottery’s official website said early Thursday. That means Saturday’s top prize will be an estimated $800 million, with a cash value of $383.7 million, Powerball said.

Six tickets – including two in California and one each in Connecticut, Illinois, Michigan and New York – matched five numbers to win $1 million, officials said.

Winning numbers for Wednesday’s drawing revealed

Update 12:30 a.m. EDT Oct. 27: It’s time to check those Powerball tickets.

The winning numbers drawn Wednesday night were 19, 36, 37, 46, 56 and Powerball 24, with an optional Power Play of 2x, according to the lottery’s official website.

It was not immediately clear whether any tickets had matched all six numbers to win the $700 million jackpot.

Powerball jackpot swells to $700M

Update 12:07 p.m. EDT Oct. 25: The Powerball jackpot has soared to $700 million ahead of Wednesday’s drawing, making it the fifth-largest Powerball jackpot and the eighth-largest U.S. lottery jackpot in history, the lottery said in a news release.

There have been 35 drawings in a row with no grand prize winner.

Jackpot hits $680M after no one wins Monday’s top prize

Original report: The Powerball jackpot has rolled over once again.

The winning numbers drawn Monday night were 18, 23, 35, 45, 54 and Powerball 16, with an optional 4x Power Play, according to the lottery’s official website. One ticket sold in Texas matched five numbers to win $1 million, officials said.

Nobody has won the Powerball jackpot since Aug. 3, when one ticket sold in Pennsylvania nabbed the $206.9 million grand prize, the lottery said.

Powerball holds drawings shortly before 11 p.m. EDT every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
