The water was flowing out of the J.W. Marriott Marquis Miami in the city’s downtown area at about 5:40 p.m. CDT on Friday, WPLG-TV reported.

“It was like a waterfall,” witness Caroline McGovern told the television station.

The water was spotted on the lower floors of the hotel by patrons, WSVN-TV reported.

“It was pretty crazy. It looked like a fountain, actually,” Floyd Ellis told WPLG.

Firefighters said the water leak was caused by a pipe connection that burst, according to WTVJ. The pipe connection was attached to the water sprinkler system, according to the television station.

No injuries were reported and no rooms were damaged, according to the television station. Crews will be testing the sprinkler system throughout the weekend to ensure there are no issues, WLPG reported.

“I’m glad this happened,” Caroline McGovern told WSVN. “We needed some spice on our family vacation.”

A spokesperson for the hotel declined comment, according to the television station.
