Teen worker at Sesame Place undergoes surgery; visitor accused of punching him after being reminded of mask requirement

LANGHORNE, Pa. — A teen worker at the Sesame Place amusement park near Philadelphia had to undergo surgery after a park visitor punched him.

Middletown Township Police said the park employee reminded a man and a woman about the property’s and state’s mask policy Sunday, the Bucks County Courier Times reported. Later that afternoon, police said the man confronted the teen, punching him in the face, KYW reported. WPVI reported the employee had asked the couple to again wear masks in the park.

Park security chased the man and woman who left the park property in a car that had New York license plates.

The teen had to have surgery to repair damage to his jaw.

Police are now looking for the two people and are interviewing witnesses and watching surveillance footage, the Courier Times reported. They are also working with police in New York City to find the couple, WPVI reported.

Masks are required to be worn when in public according to a governor’s mandate, according to the newspaper.
