In the video, which was shared with WCPO, the students can be seen fighting with each other before they fall backward into a window. The window shatters under their combined weight, sending the children down onto the ground below.

Photos taken by WLWT show the window now boarded up. The kids fell a distance of approximately 15 feet.

The school district shared a statement with WXIX that it had sent home to parents, saying: “Parents and Guardians: By now, you likely have heard about the incident yesterday which resulted in two students being injured and transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The district is currently investigating the situation and working with local law enforcement to fully understand what happened and why.”

The grandmother and legal guardian of one of the students involved, Willene Moffett, told WXIX that the incident stems from issues that began on social media months ago. She said that the boys are involved in a love triangle, and she had asked the principal to have a sit-down with all the students involved and their parents, but instead got a different call from the principal.

“I was like, ‘Oh my God!,’” Moffett told WXIX. “He said, ‘Ms. Moffett, this is the principal at St. Bernard High School. Your grandson was involved in an altercation between him and another young man, and they both fell through a window.”

Moffett told the station that her grandson had stitches in his right hand, a cut on his left arm and a sore back.
