Unseasonably low heat, humidity to remain in place this week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — July is wrapping up in a few days and the Charlotte area's weather pattern feels like fall already. Temperatures will only warm to the lower 80s Tuesday afternoon with very low humidity.

The coolest weather will arrive Tuesday night, with a near-record low of 59 degrees in Charlotte. This pattern will last for a few days before rain returns this weekend.

A few scattered showers will return to the region on Thursday, but the better rain chances will be over the weekend. These won't be big storms, just a few scattered downpours.

Highs will remain in the mid-80s through Sunday.
