Former Big 22 Player of the Year leaves Citadel

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Former Big 22 Player of the Year Devan Robbins has reportedly left Citadel for personal reasons.

The former Belmont-South Point standout was a freshman running back for the Bulldogs and was also used as a kick returner.

Robbins played in three games, had one rushing touchdown and leaves Citadel with 110 all-purpose yards.

WSOC-TV Sports' Tiffany Wright talked with Robbins' mom on Sunday. She said he is back home and seeking other opportunities.
