The Flash Flood Watch continues for * portions of piedmont North Carolina and upstate South Carolina, including the following areas, in piedmont North Carolina, Alexander, Cabarrus, Catawba, Cleveland, Davie, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, and Rowan. In upstate South Carolina, Cherokee. * until midnight EDT tonight * Flooding for portions of the area continues following widespread heavy rain from Michael. * The heavy rain and very high rainfall rates may continue to produce dangerous and life-threatening flash flooding across the area.
