The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect until 6 AM EDT Friday. * LOCATIONS...the North Carolina Mountains. * HAZARDS...very windy conditions. * TIMING...this evening with winds slowly diminishing overnight. * WINDS...Northwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult...especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
