At 629 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area. Radar estimates that 3 to 4 inches of rain has fallen across northwest Chesterfield County near the Lancaster County line. The area that has received the most rain is generally to the northwest of Jefferson, and to the southwest of Pageland, generally near Taxahaw, US Highway 601, near Arant Branch, Shop Branch, and Cedar Falls Branch and the Lynches River.
