• FORECAST: Temps will drop, storms will threaten most of Sunday

    SUNDAY: An area of low pressure arrives bringing rain throughout a good portion of the day. It will be cooler with highs in the mid 60s.

    An isolated storm containing lightning, heavy rain and gusty winds is possible. Severe weather threat is low, but there could be a few spots where flooding is an issue.

    We are expecting up 2-4 inches of of rain into Monday. Higher totals will be in the mountains.
     
    Flash Flood Watches are issued for the following counties from midnight Sunday morning through Monday evening: Alexander, Cabarrus, Catawba, Cleveland, Davie, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg and Rowan, Avery, Buncombe, Burke.
