- A Code Red Air Quality Alert affects everyone. Consider limiting prolonged or heavy exertion outdoors.
- Anyone sensitive to air pollution, including people with asthma, should avoid outdoor exertion altogether.
- This is all due to smoke from Canadian wildfires that have been entrenched in North Carolina.
- Our next rain chance is late Wednesday ahead of a cold front.
- The rain is expected to be widespread with limited severe risk.
- The rain clears out by Thursday with great weather into the weekend.
- Smoke will continue to impact North Carolina on both Thursday and Friday
