Craft Beer Festival on tap for 2020 Wells Fargo Championship

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Craft beer enthusiasts can tee up for tastings during the Wells Fargo Championship this year. On Thursday, tournament officials announced plans to add a Craft Beer Festival to the annual PGA event at Quail Hollow Club.

A selection of 18 craft beers, along with a gluten free cider, will be available for sampling during the festival Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2.

At press time, breweries that have committed to participate include Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, Sycamore Brewery, Legion Brewing, Catawba Brewing, Southern Tier Brewing, Wicked Weed Brewery, Golden Road Brewing and Devil’s Backbone Brewing.

A limited number of tickets are on sale now via the tournament’s website at wellsfargochampionship.com.

Admission to attend a full day at the tournament plus the festival costs $90.

Tickets to attend the festival only cost $50 and allow admission beginning at 1:30 p.m. on the selected day.

The festival will run from 3-6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and will take place between the 10th and 13th greens near the lake at Quail Hollow Club.
