BEECH MOUNTAIN, N.C. — Lots of excitement and nostalgia always surround the mysterious Land of Oz theme park in Beech Mountain, North Carolina, which was closed for many years but now opens its gates to host special events several times a year.
Recently, the park posted to its social media pages that its annual Journey with Dorothy tours scheduled in June and July are canceled due to health and safety concerns related to COVID-19.
At this time, the park is still planning to host its Autumn in Oz festival Sept. 11-13 and Sept. 18-20.
According to the post on the park’s Facebook page, more information on the festival will be announced soon.
