$500M emergency plan in works for NYC

Mayor Michael Bloomberg made an announcement on Monday that there is a $500 million emergency plan in the works to help pay for critical repairs to New York City schools and hospitals damaged by Superstorm Sandy.

On Tuesday, the City Council will vote on the plan.

So far, $134 million has been spent on relief.

The city will try to get that money reimbursed by FEMA.
