Huntersville firefighters were called to the Camden of Sedgebrook Apartments shortly after 7 p.m. Monday after hearing of a report of a dog dangling from a balcony by its leash.
The leash was wrapped around its hips and strapped to the railing of a second-floor balcony.
Firefighters erected a ladder and cut a portion of the railing to remove the K9.
Besides being exhausted and dehydrated, the dog was OK, firefighters said.
No one was home and Huntersville police are trying to locate the dog’s owner.
