LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — A masked person entered a Lincolnton house early Saturday morning and started shooting while five people were playing cards, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said.
Someone called 911 to report the shooting in the 3600 block of Gladden Drive, but hung up.
Deputies arrived at the house around 1:45 a.m., but could not get into the home, because all of the doors were locked.
They could see blood inside the house on the floor, as well as outside on the porch and on the ground.
Officials learned that Timothy Burris, 43, was grazed by a bullet on his forehead and was driven to Carolina's HealthCare System Lincoln. No one else was injured.
No arrests have been made but detectives are interviewing a person of interest.
