Man charged after 141 pounds of marijuana found, sheriff's office says

SHELBY, N.C. — A man is facing charges after investigators found 141 pounds of marijuana in his home and a vehicle in the driveway, according to the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials said Jose Juan Gonzalez-Martinez was arrested after a search of his home in Shelby. He was charged with trafficking in marijuana and possession with intent to sell or deliver.

The sheriff’s office said the investigation is part of a larger drug investigation that it is working with the Drug Enforcement Administration.
