MORGANTON, N.C. — A Morganton man is facing charges after he uploaded inappropriate images of children to the web, according to police.
Hillard Holland, 19, is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and extortion, Channel 9's partners at the Morganton News Herald report.
The Burke County Sheriff's Office received a report from the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children about inappropriate images uploaded in the county.
After an investigation, officials identified Holland as the suspect and obtained a search warrant for his address in the 4000 block of Bollinger Gap.
The investigation is ongoing and further charges are pending.
