ROCK HILL, S.C. — Police in Rock Hill are looking for the gunmen in two separate shootings that happened Monday in the city limits.
Officers responded to the first scene around 10:30 a.m. on South Spruce Street, where they said a 25-year-old man was shot.
The victim said he was walking down the street when a black man in blue overalls shot him from behind without warning.
Investigators said that the unidentified suspect left the scene in an older model gold Chevrolet Impala.
The shooting victim is recovering in the hospital.
Later that evening, around 8:45 p.m., police were called to Poag Street for another shooting and found a 20-year-old man that had been shot in a blue Mercury.
That person was rushed to the hospital where they remain in critical condition.
Witnesses told officers that they were all leaving the home when they heard gunshots ring out. Officials told Channel 9 that there were several suspects that ran to Cornelius Drive, where they then left in an older model gold Honda Accord.
Police told Channel 9 that there is no evidence to link the two shootings together.
