Powerball ticket sold in Charlotte wins $1 million

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Powerball drawing held Saturday produced a $1 million win in North Carolina, according to officials with the North Carolina Education Lottery.

Lottery officials said the lucky ticket was sold at the Earp’s convenience store on Cambridge Commons Drive in Charlotte.

The winning numbers were 13-17-25-36-40 for the white balls and 5 for the red Powerball.

The $1 million ticket matched all five white balls drawn, beating odds of one in 11.7 million, officials said. Winners have 180 days from the drawing to claim their prize.

The jackpot in Wednesday’s drawing has reached $348 million, worth $207.4 million cash.
