CONCORD, N.C. — Two people burst into a home in Concord and attacked a man in a wheelchair, police said.
The victim told officers he had been watching television on Saturday night when two males came into his home on Sumner Avenue. He said the pair forced him out of his wheelchair and onto the ground and held him at gunpoint while they ransacked his house.
Officers located two males who matched the description of the suspects.
Police arrested 16-year-old Nijel Hitchcock and a juvenile.
Hitchcock was charged with felony assault on a handicapped person and one count of first-degree burglary.
A secure custody order was obtained for the juvenile connected to the crime.
