CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police and SWAT responded to an hours-long standoff Friday at a new uptown Charlotte apartment complex, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officials said in a news release.
Officers responded to the Circa Uptown Apartments on South Graham Street at about 3:30 p.m. to serve arrest warrants on suspects wanted in an armed robbery.
Two of the three suspects inside an apartment were taken into custody, while a third barricaded himself inside.

Law enforcement responded, along with negotiators.
Residents were relocated as a precaution.
One of the tenants at the apartment complex said an officer grabbed him to make sure he got out of the building safely.
"They immediately just waved me away, and then the third officer that wasn't in tactical gear, and grabbed me and escorted me out through the stairs," Ryan Weiss said.
A man surrendered at about 7:30 p.m. and was taken into custody without incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
