HICKORY, N.C. — The southbound lanes of Highway 321 are closed Friday afternoon in Granite Falls after a truck carrying trees crashed near Captain's Galley.
The Hickory Daily Record told Channel 9 reporter Dave Faherty that a truck swerved to miss a drunken driver and crashed on the highway.
The accused drunken driver has been taken into custody.
The highway is expected to be closed for at least an hour.
