MATTHEWS, N.C. — Dramatic video shows an Amazon van going up in flames Wednesday morning in a Matthews neighborhood.
A viewer sent us videos of the fire, and the van can be seen engulfed in flames and thick dark smoke along Jamesville Drive.

The video also shows firefighters dousing the van with water.
Channel 9 learned the driver was out of the van when the fire was caught on camera, but it’s unclear if they were hurt.
Burnt packages could be seen stacked up in a nearby yard.

Fire officials are investigating the cause.
