CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A wanted man is in the hospital fighting for his life after he crashed while leading police on a high-speed chase down Interstate 85 Tuesday morning.

Deputies told Channel 9 they were chasing Larry Holland, who is a fugitive with a long criminal history.
The chase ended when Holland wrecked a silver Mercedes-Benz in the middle of I-85 northbound near the Freedom Drive exit.
