FORECAST: Moisture moves out ahead of gorgeous Mother's Day weekend

A few stray showers are expected into early Friday evening.

Any snow that fell in the mountains overnight has also has moved out. About three inches did fall at Beech Mountain though. Sunshine will start to move in around midday as temps only warm into the upper 60s.

The moisture will move out for the weekend, with highs jumping into the upper 70s Saturday and the low-to-mid 80s on Sunday. Most neighborhoods will stay dry this weekend, but a few mountain showers will return late Sunday afternoon.

Temperatures will stay in the 80s all next week.
