GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are trying to determine what sparked a shooting in a Greensboro parking that left one person dead and another charged with murder.
Greensboro police say 35-year-old Labrent Maurice Crews of Greensboro is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Rashad Hayes,34, of Winston-Salem, who was killed Friday afternoon.
Police say they don't know why Hayes, Crews and two others met in the parking lot.
Witnesses described an argument that escalated into the shootout, with several people firing shots.
It wasn't clear Saturday if Crews has an attorney. He's being held without bond. Two others also face charges.
