MORGANTON, N.C.,None — A shopper alerted police after finding videos being sold that contained adult material at a Morganton Dollar Store.
Morganton Public Safety officers investigated on Wednesday to try and determine if a law had been broken.
Susan Wilkins hasn't returned to the Mighty Dollar after she picked up one of those videos inside the store. "I told my boy to get away. We don't need to be looking at this," she said.
In cellphone video shot by Channel 9, you can see there are more than a dozen cardboard boxes filled with DVDs with adult themes.

"I was very shocked. I had never seen anything like that out in the open," Wilkins said.
"When I first saw it I was flabbergasted. Children were running around, and mothers were screaming at the children," said Mary Sue Fritts.
The store said the videos are not R-rated but they posted the words "adult only" near the videos.
Two detectives went through some of the DVDs and told Channel 9 there are naked women on the videos.
They are now talking with the district attorney about the case, and they could have a decision if any charges would be filed by Thursday.
Fritts thinks the store should remove the videos immediately. "(I) told them that we will not be back in the store until this is removed and put somewhere where the children cannot get to it," she said.
The manager told Channel 9 that he does try to keep children away from the videos, and the store is considering moving them.
