CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Alpha-1 Village will be hosting its second annual golf tournament on March 15 to raise money for the Village.
The Village is a site that exists to care for individuals afflicted with Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. Alpha-1 antitrypsin is a genetic disorder of the liver.
The golf tournament is being held at the Ballantyne Hotel.
Proceeds from the event are used to support the mission of the Village.
A portion of last year's proceeds hosted eight patients and their caregivers at a three-day lifestyle improvement seminar in July.
