Chester Man Charged In Fatal Shooting

CHESTER COUNTY, S.C.,None — A Chester man has been charged in the fatal shooting of 24-year-old Faris Wray.

JC Bowler, 30, was served with an arrest warrant on Monday in the Chester County Detention Center. He was being held there on unrelated charges, according to Sheriff Richard Smith.

Wray was killed Wednesday night on Railroad Avenue. He was shot several times, police said.

Wray's killing was the first homicide in Chester County this year, Smith said.

Officers haven't said if Wray and Bowler knew each other.

Bowler is being held at the detention center, awaiting a bond hearing.
