FORT MILL, S.C.,None — Someone attempted to impersonate a police officer by turning on emergency lights and following a teen in Fort Mill, police say.
A 16-year-old was driving south on Highway 21 in Fort Mill last week when a car turned and followed him from Flint Hill Road, according to a York County Sheriff's Office report.
The car turned on a red and blue LED light on its grill. The teen turned onto Regent Parkway, where a deputy was already there conducting a traffic stop.
As soon as the driver saw the deputy, he turned off the emergency lights and made a U-turn, the report states.
The teen was unable to give deputies a more in-depth description of the vehicle or driver.
