Is Emily Maynard having second thoughts?

None — Charlotte-native Emily Maynard may be having second thoughts about signing on to become the next Bachelorette.

Maynard talked recently about her new gig with People magazine. "It really hasn't hit me.  I'm scared to death," she said.

News surfaced a couple weeks ago that Maynard would be named the new Bachelorette and ABC confirmed the news days later.

According to People, Maynard swore she would not become the next Bachelorette after her break-up with "The Bachelor's" Brad Womack back in June.

"I feel like the biggest hypocrite because I said that and now I'm doing it," she told People.

But, Maynard is optimistic about her new role.  “I know it can work,” she said.

The show will film at an undisclosed location in Charlotte starting in March.

A $3.9 million mansion in south Charlotte is rumored to be the site for the filming but has not been confirmed by the show.

The 12,000 square-foot house features six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, ballroom, outdoor kitchen, second living quarters, billiard room and excercise room.

As for the mortgage of the rumored house: a measly $14,000 per month.
