Despite the heat this summer, fans at BB&T Ballpark have not been allowed to bring their own water into games.
Channel 9 spoke to one father Wednesday who is asking the Charlotte Knights to change its bottled water policy.
He said his family was recently forced to throw away water bottles outside the ballpark and spend $3.50 per bottle inside to stay hydrated on a hot day.
"What's the issue here? Its 100 degrees out. We need to drink water,” Rodd Neumann said.
Neumann said BB&T should follow the same policy set by Bank of America Stadium.
Security allows each fan at that stadium to bring in two sealed water bottles for Panthers games.
The Charlotte Knights told Channel 9 that fans are allowed to bring empty bottles and fill them at a water fountain.
Channel 9 found that their website didn't reflect that option.
Officials updated their online policy Wednesday afternoon.
