CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — Emergency workers in Fiji spent the day Sunday searching for a Charlotte CEO. Donald Nicholas disappeared while surfing there Thursday. Nicholas is the CEO of Reviate Anti-Aging, a health and wellness center.
Church leaders said at a worship service Sunday morning that Nicholas had been a member there for about a year and was just starting to form strong relationships there.
"We like everybody just recently found out about the tragedy in Fiji and as a leadership have been praying for the family and the friends and hoping for resolution in the case," said Chuncks Corbett, the Executive Pastor at the church.
Nicholas was in Fiji attending a conference hosted by motivational speaker Tony Robbins. Friends said he was slated to return home Monday.
Sunday, his employees held a meeting to pray for him and talk about his business. In a previous interview one worker said he wasn't giving up hope that Nicholas would be found alive.
"We are just hoping he's hanging out on reef somewhere," said Dr. Peter Fotimos, who is the Medical Director for Revita Anti-Aging.
Friends said Nicholas' girlfriend is in Charlotte and expecting his first child soon. They said she was too shaken up to talk.
