Gastonia Man Indicted On Sex Abuse Charges

GASTONIA, N.C.,None — A grand jury indicted a Gastonia man on charges of first-degree sex offense against a child.

The Gaston Gazette reported Dennis Christopher, 30, was indicted on seven counts of sex offense against a child and four counts of indecent liberties.

Police arrested Christopher in August and charged him with seven counts of first-degree sex offense and two counts of taking indecent liberties with a child.

According to arrest warrants, Christopher started abusing a girl when she was eight and the abuse continued after she turned 12 years old. He was jailed in August under a $250,000 secured bond.

Christopher remains in jail under a $275,000 secured bond.
