$10 million project at SouthPark will add pedestrian paths

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A $10 million project will add a bicycle and pedestrian path around the SouthPark Mall in Charlotte.

The 3-mile path will circle the mall and connect Symphony Park with Morrison Regional Library and Phillips Place.

Plans on what it will look like will be released next year.

City Councilman Tariq Bokhari said the mall owner, Simon Property, will match up to the $5 million the city is proposing.
