CHARLOTTE — Police are investigating after one person was killed when their car crashed into a power pole early Monday morning in northeast Charlotte.
The single-vehicle crash happened around 2 a.m. on North Tryon Street and the roadway is closed between Eastway Drive and Bennett Street.
When Channel 9 got to the area, our crews could see an SUV that crashed into a power pole.
MEDIC said one person was killed in the crash and another was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities have not said what led up to the crash.
No other information has been released.
