CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man died in a wreck Monday afternoon on the Interstate 485 outer loop near Johnston Road, officials said.
Police said Richard Clark, 58, of Shelby, lost control of his motorcycle and slid into the back of a pickup truck.
When Clark ran into the truck the motorcycle caught fire and he was trapped underneath, authorities said.

The Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
