ANSON COUNTY, N.C. — The internet company Kinetic is offering a $10,000 reward for help finding the people responsible for a string of copper thefts across Anson County.
Kinetic says sites in Lilesville, Peachland, Polkton and Wadesboro have been hit repeatedly.
According to the company, thieves have taken about 4,000 feet of copper in just a few months.
Officials say these thefts result in dangerous outages for customers that affect essential services, like healthcare facilities, fire and police.

In July, AT&T said it had tracked more than 200 thefts so far this year, targeting its copper lines in North Carolina.
In May, CMPD arrested three people accused of posing as AT&T workers and stealing more than $10,000 worth of copper wire in northwest Charlotte.
