RICHMOND COUNTY, N.C. — Officers are looking for two minimum custody inmates who escaped from a Richmond County prison Monday morning.
Josh Ashwoth, 18, and Brandon McDurmon, 22, were last seen at breakfast in the Morrison Correctional Institution between 6 and 7 a.m.

Ashworth is a 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 137 pounds. He is white with blonde hair, blue eyes and a thin build. He was serving a three-year sentence for felony breaking and entering.
McDurmon is a 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs163 pounds. He is white with brown hair, green eyes and a medium build. He was serving a two-year and two-month sentence for possession of a firearm by a felon.
How they escaped the facility is still under investigation.
