CHARLOTTE — Two people were hurt after a train hit a dumpster truck Tuesday morning in northwest Charlotte.

A Channel 9 crew could see a truck and a train stopped on its tracks across Old Mount Holly Road, just off Rozzelles Ferry Road. The driver of the truck said he was crossing over the tracks -- no flashing lights or crossing arms were activated -- when the train reversed and hit his truck.

Paramedics said two people were hurt in the crash but both are expected to be OK.

The truck was a Waste Management rollback.

It was not immediately clear who the hurt people were in the crash, or if any charges will be filed.

Old Mount Holly Road reopened at around 6 a.m.
