PINEVILLE, N.C. — Two people were shot when gunfire erupted during an argument late Monday afternoon in Pineville, officials confirmed.
The shooting was reported in the area of the Sam’s Mart along Johnston Road and McMullen Creek Parkway. Another shooting was reported around Cedar Circle Drive.

One suspect was taken into custody, according to authorities.
The two people who knew each other started shooting at each other at the gas station, police said. One of the shooting victims then went back to their apartment on Cedar Circle Drive.
The shooting victims were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Pineville police tweeted at about 6:20 p.m.
Channel 9 crews could see the gas station was roped off with crime-scene tape and several evidence markers were on the ground next to a gas pump.
No further information has been released.
