CHARLOTTE — The 2024 report card for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is in.
According to the National Assessment of Educational Process, overall math scores for CMS fourth-graders improved.

However, reading scores in both fourth and eighth grades declined.
CMS did outperform the state national average in every category except for eighth-grade reading.
