ROCK HILL, S.C. — An earthquake was reported just outside Rock Hill, South Carolina Monday afternoon, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The 2.3-magnitude earthquake happened around 2 p.m., about nine miles south of Rock Hill and five miles north of Richburg.
No injuries or damage was reported from the quake.
