$2.3M estate marks Plaza Midwood’s most expensive home to hit market

CHARLOTTE — A Plaza Midwood estate originally built in the 1950s for a prominent Charlotte developer and now owned by a local artist hit the market on Monday with a price tag of nearly $2.3 million.

At $2.295 million, it is the highest-priced home in the historic Plaza Midwood neighborhood ever to be listed in Canopy MLS, according to listing brokerage HM Properties.

The home, located at 3021 Belvedere Ave. next to the Charlotte Country Club, was built in 1951 as a personal residence for the late John Crosland Jr. From 1971 until 1999, he served as CEO of Crosland, a local real estate firm his father founded in 1937.
