CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. — A second person has been charged in a child abuse investigation at a daycare in Catawba County.

Mialynn McDole was charged with failure to report a crime against a juvenile and failure to report abuse, deputies said. She was the director of Childcare Network near Maiden when court documents say a worker was accused of throwing or kicking a 4-year-old into a wall.
Family members of the boy say they didn’t learn of the alleged abuse until two days after the incident.
