CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A crash in west Charlotte ended with a group of men pointing a gun at a good Samaritan, police said.
Officers told Channel 9 three people are in custody and they are looking for a fourth suspect involved in the wreck, which happened around 2:30 a.m. on Billy Graham Parkway at West Boulevard.
Only Channel 9 was there as police sprawled out along Billy Graham Parkway searching for the suspects. Three men were taken into custody one block away on West Boulevard at New Renaissance Way.
A witness told investigators she stopped to help but that one of the suspects pulled a gun on her.
Police said the suspects jumped from the car and fled after the vehicle flipped into a ditch.
Two of the men were taken to the hospital and the third was placed in police custody.
Channel 9 crews could see one of the suspects loaded into an ambulance and another slumped over in the back of a police cruiser.
No names have been released.
