CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police said three men found dead inside a home in south Charlotte Friday morning were all shot to death.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have identified the three men as Naquivs Aqueece Benson, 29, Jarvis Mandrell Benson, 28, and Javarius Deshawn McGee, 30.
All three were found dead from gunshot wounds.
Police are investigating it as a homicide.
"I don't know what happened, what went on, what went down, but it's just taking us by shock," Koketa Hood, an aunt, said.
One by one, dozens of family members rushed to China Grove Church Road in south Charlotte praying their loved ones were not the victims found shot to death Friday morning inside a south Charlotte home.
But when nightfall came, family members learned the difficult truth.
Police said 29-year-old Naquivis Benson; his younger brother, 28-year-old Jarvis Mandrell Benson, and their friend Javarius McGee were all gunned down inside the home.
"We're just trying to get through it rough losing two of my nephews in one day," Louis Hood, an uncle of the Benson brothers, said.
Hood said his nephews threw a birthday party at the home Thursday night for McGee.
Hood said that's the last time anyone heard from them.
"We kind of knew you have that gut feeling but we're just trying to hold onto any hope that we may have had," Hood said.
Hood said Naquivis was turning his life around he said he loved to cook, even attended culinary school and wanted to start his own business.
He said both Naquivis and his brother Jarvis had children.
And now Hood has a message for the person who took his nephews away.
"Turn yourself in, make amends," Hood said.
Paramedics said they found the victims when they went to the home in the 9500 block of China Grove Church Road, near South and Westinghouse boulevards around 10:30 a.m.
Family members confirmed two of the victims were brothers, Naquavis and Mandrell Benson.

More than a dozen family members were at the home Friday waiting to hear more about what happened inside.
Lamar Hood came to the house searching for his younger brother, who he said had been missing more than 24 hours.
"The possibility that something may have happened to my younger brother, I heard from another family member," Hood said. "I just wanted to check and see if he was even over here at all. He doesn't stay here. He spends time over here."
"This is a quiet neighborhood over here," neighbor Jeffery Dukes said. "I didn't think it would happen."
Neighbors said they didn't hear any gunshots Friday morning and weren't sure who lived in the house.
This investigation is still ongoing.
