SALISBURY, N.C. — A 4-year-old girl who was flown to a children's hospital after falling into a backyard pool Wednesday has died.
Natalie Lippard was at a home on Sherrills Ford Road when she fell into a pool.
“She was a spitfire," Natalie Lippard’s father, Stephen, said in an email to Channel 9. “My lil’ Nat Nat. She loved her siblings almost as much as she loved driving them crazy. And she loved her Jesus, going to Sunday School. She was as crazy and spirited as her curls. Such a beautiful girl, inside and out."
Doctors declared Natalie brain dead Thursday night, her father said.
Her grandparents' church, Stallings Memorial Baptist, is asking the community to pray for Natalie's family.
