$5K reward offered for arrest in murder of Wadesboro man

North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper announced a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in the murder of a Wadesboro Army veteran, father and grandfather.

Witnesses said the shooter was targeting the young man, but the two older men were hit by stray bullets as they tried to run away.

Police said 60-year-old Wallace Sturdivant was outside with a friend near Highway 74 when a man in his 20’s ran by and someone started firing.
